Healthy living is super-easy when I first get up in the morning, but somehow seems to get harder as the day goes on 🙂

It may seem like being fit is a simple goal–exercise, eat healthy and voila! Unfortunately, it isn’t that simple – Americans wouldn’t spend billions of dollars every year if it were, right?
So, I’ve come up with some fun ways to live well (and longer, actually.)
  1. Drink red wine. Really, my doctor said to. Red wine is full of resveratrol, an antioxidant that helps you live longer.
  2. Smile. Just the act of smiling reduces stress. I’ll be grinning … and you can laugh at me…I’m happy to help reduce your stress, too. You’re welcome.
  3. Eat more roasted vegetables. (I truly love them and they’re super-healthy.)
  4. Eat more fruit (I truly love fruit, too.) Did you notice I’m adding, rather than subtracting here?
  5. Eat more dark chocolate. It also has lovely antioxidants and will make living longer much more enjoyable IMHO.
  6. Play more. Physical games can be so much fun you won’t recognize that you’re getting healthier. I love Zumba myself, and I imagine myself on Dancing with the Stars someday…
  7. Chill out. This one is harder for me…I don’t want to miss anything so keep myself pretty busy. But I’m practicing guided meditation (I can’t do it on my own yet…oh, look, a bird!) and for a few minutes I am Zen.

So that’s it. The totality of my get healthy plan. What’s working for you?
